Book Review: Branded

It’s the end of April and I’ve finally tackled another book!!!

Good news about this one: It’s 100% free on iBooks. (Maybe other retailers too, but I don’t know positively)

This book was so great that I started reading the first few pages, put it down, and still came back to it after I splurged and bought 3 new books from the local book fair…(yikes)

When a beginning of a story can draw you in, you know it’s about to be great. And, it was.

This story follows the life of a young adult Jessica, who has had terrible life-like nightmares for as long as she can remember. Each time she closes her eyes she is transported in front of a panel of angels who are judging the person that they think she is on their life and deciding whether they’re going to heaven or hell. However, by day she’s a caretaker for an elderly couple’s home, and that’s where the story begins. Their grandson, Alex, suddenly appears in the house one night after the death of his grandparents, totally not expecting Jessica. You can say that it was history from there. Jessica ends up opening up to him about her crazy life, which seems to get crazier by the minute. The constant dreams are suddenly changing and new twists are coming her way.

I would 10/10 recommend this book for anyone who enjoys the paranormal, romance, and a good juicy plot. I haven’t read a book like this in a long time. I felt like I couldn’t put it down.

Now, unfortunately the next book in the series is not free, but I’m thinking it may be worth the investment.

Happy Reading!
