Month-Long Motivation

April is finally (almost) here.

I love the month of April. Not only is it getting warmer outside, but it is also Camp NaNo WriMo! I’ve gotten two novels out of Camp NaNo in April, and I hope to possibly finish one of my novels that I’ve been working on next month.

Unfortunately for my writing project, I will not be starting Camp NaNo until I get back from my week-long vacation. But, don’t let my absence stop you! If this is your first time jumping in on a NaNo WriMo month, welcome! It is truly a blast to be able to work on writing for a month.

I have a few quick tips for you so that you can get through the month before I leave this weekend:

  1. Do not stress. I mean it. Make your writing place a stress free zone. Writing won’t be fun if all you do is stress about not making your goal. Your goal is only to guide you.
  2. Take some time to actually write. Let’s face it, there would be a heck of a lot more novels out there if people like us would actually spend some time writing.
  3. Try your hardest. Even if you don’t reach your goal by the end of this month, you’ll feel a lot better about it if you know that you did your absolute best. No regrets, okay?
  4. Join in on some Camp fun!! There’s so many things you can participate in this month (twitter word sprints are my fave), so don’t seclude yourself, join in!

I guarantee if you follow these four tips, you will have a great month! I’ll see you in a week or so to check in on where you’re at and to start off my month of writing as well!!!

April first, here we come!

Happy Camp NaNo!
